So, many of my regular visitors know that I love nature and have seen my favorite picture "Riverside Maple" (on my main page). Well, I just found out from my mom that while I was in recovery from my three surgeries in the last 8 months, the entire area around Gate Creek (the location it was taken at) had been clear-cut. I have yet to go there because I'm sure I'll be devastated. When I do, though, I will take photos to display the horrific effects of clearcutting. It makes me so depressed to know that my favorite locations are being slowly smothered by development... even in towns that probably have less that 500 people living there.
I'm hoping my mom was somehow misinformed, but I doubt it.
I love all you guys and hope that everyone's doing ok. I will be looking for new locations to shoot. If anyone has any suggestions or requests, I would appreciate it!
