Artist's Comments

I was in Washington D.C. recently, and took this picture several minutes after I had contemplated the sacrifice of so many soldiers in so many wars at the WWII memorial. I saw the sun going down and reflected upon the water, and could almost see all the people that had given their lives on the other side of the water. The water almost seemed to create a barrier-- everytime you tried to reach out through the wall, the image scattered. This picture relates to me the birth and extinguishing of life everyday. The sun rises and sets.

:XD: yeah, it's INSANELY busy there. it's nearly impossible to be alone there. I normally live in the country, so when I visit a big city, it.... isn't pretty... ^^; Well, maybe you have one within a decent bus ride or driving distance... try checking a map to see if there is one... good luck!!
